BSnUws, Owner Suspended from Instagram

 


    MUNCIE, Ind. - No, this isn't satire. Yes, this is serious. BSnUws, and its owner, have been suspended from Instagram as of 9pm tonight.

    I, who independently owns and operates BSn, had a personal, private account on Instagram. I used it to communicate with friends, share photos, and speak up about social issues without using my professional account that ties back to my name.

    Someone disagreed with something I said, and abused a reporting feature intended to protect children. As such, my personal account was suspended. 

    And, like a domino effect, my professional and business accounts were suspended as well. This includes BSn's account.

    As of the time of publication, I have zero access to the BSn Instagram page. I've been able to request an appeal for all my accounts, except for my personal one, which is unrecoverable. Instagram kept asking for my phone number, and even when I gave it, it couldn't send me the confirmation code. 

    This saddens me, as I am now unable to communicate with one of my friends until I physically visit his apartment, as I only know his Instagram. However, this is out of my control. I've tried creating a whole new account, but that got shut down just four minutes later.

The Atrium to Follow MyPlate Standards, Limiting Vivimos and Adding Salad Bar

  MUNCIE, INDIANA - Inspired by the old MyPlate initiative pushed in K-12 schools, Ball State Dining has taken inspiration, making groundbreaking changes to The Atrium. These changes include less availability at Vivimos, an additional salad bar, and the most important meal of the day no longer being served. A post circulating Instagram and YikYak from a student food reviewer shows that that Vivimos is now part of the "Rotating Cuisine" menu, only offering burritos, burrito bowls and nachos. A salad bar was also introduced. Breakfast, however, is no longer an option. A spokesperson for University Dining told BSnUws that they were "inspired by Becoming by Michelle Obama" to "implement the classic MyPlate standards from back in our day".
