MUNCIE, INDIANA - Due to the numerous fees on the Ball State eBill, BSnUws has made a business decision to sublet its corporate office, The BSnUws Tower, to Spencer Gifts LLC, the company behind the Halloween conglomerate Spirit Halloween. A BSnUws spokesperson provided a statement from the founder, claiming the independently-operated outlet is "student-ran" and she "couldn't pay the bill".
"Due to Ball State tacking on numerous fees to my eBill making it cost more than the original financial aid offer, including but absolutely not limited to a a $10 English ballpoint fee, a $150 marticulation fee and three separate residence fees--one for merely using my ID to enter my hall, I have made an executive business decision", read the statement.
"Even with my scholarship, the fees make the eBill look like a Ticketmaster payment, but without the Afterpay option. As such, BSnUws is subletting its iconc BSnUws tower in the middle of nowhere to be a new Spirit Halloween! It was either that or a Spencers pop-up, but there's already a Spencers at the Muncie Mall. That, and Frog Baby has already had a [questionable object] taped to them once--we don't want to be liable if that happens again."
When we asked where the new Spirit Halloween is, the spokesperson told us to "mind [our] own business", they "don't care", and they "just need the check, and it better not bounce".
The rental period is set to go into effect on September 11th and end on November 1st. Fees paid for renting the BSnUws tower will be used to pay the founder's Ball State eBill for the month of October.
